GNSS navigation prototype messages visualization
Homolka, Martin ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to graphically interpret navigation messages from a prototype of global navigation satellite system. The resulting application is implemented in Python programming language for Windows operating system and follows requests from researchers developing the prototype. Necessary terminology together with graphical user interface programming possibilities of object-oriented language Python is a base for theoretical background of this text. Practical part of this research describes a solution for receiving generated messages from the prototype as well as their storing and filtering into useful information. Further, the design of graphical user interface of the application for prototype interactions and other tools used for its configuration are included.
Global Positioning System Signal Emulator
Hofman, Jan ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
Thesis is adressed to the principals of a satellite navigation. It is focused on a determination of a longitude, latitude and altitude of a single point on the surface of the Earth. It contains analysis of navigation messages and a manner of processing of navigation signals in GPS receivers. Realization of an emulator of the navigation signal of GPS system in Matlab is also described. The purpose of this emulator is a generation of navigation messages, which could be transmitted by universal software radio. The last part of thesis contains the analysis of these signals, which were captured by second software radio.
Navigation systems
Jirkovská, Šárka ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (referee) ; Pust, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is focused on the navigation systems GPS, Galileo and their development. The work describes the functions and parameters of mentioned navigation systems including individual modulation techniques, used frequencies and signal securing by encoding. Segments of navigation systems GPS and Galileo, which divide into control and space parts, are mentioned next. The principle of signals generation by GPS system satellites, where the navigation message is the basis of user´s data transfer, is introduced. The principle of generation of the navigation message is described as well as its structure and characteristics of used CA-code and P-code. Next part of the work presents the components of the Galileo navigation system satellites and conspectus of planned services of this system. The summary of used receivers’ characteristics and summary of selected producers of digital geographical data for navigation devices follow next. The last part mentions the simulation of signal generation of GPS satellite. The simulation includes encoding and decoding of navigation message. This simulation is created in Matlab version 7.4 environment.
